The Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art, located in Millersburg, PA, is seeking a full-time Art and Nature Educator reporting to the Lead Environmental Educator and the Executive Director.
The ideal candidate would have a degree from an accredited college or university in art, forestry, biology, environmental studies or related fields; a working knowledge of PA Department of Education standards; excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional organization and planning skills; as well as a passion for the arts and natural world. Minimum forty (40) hour work week is required. Must be able to lift sixty (60) pounds, negotiate rugged terrain for extended periods and have reliable transportation.
Candidates need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with both children and adults in classroom, summer camp and hands-on programs settings. The Center offers a competitive salary and benefits including flex-scheduling and 401k.
