Due to pesticides, habitat loss and global climatic change, the monarch butterfly is facing some big challenges.

The Center is planning to start an “Adopt-a-Monarch” program that would teach children and adults how to raise and release the insects.

To join the team, prior experience is not necessary, although we are obviously eager to welcomes those with a background with similar conservation projects.  We encourage entire families to participate as well as individual school-aged children, based on interest, enthusiasm and a firm commitment of parental support.
