Loon Carving

Friday-Sunday, March 2, 3 & 4

In three days, Jack Miller will teach you how to take a black piece of wood and transform it into a Loon through wood carving and painting techniques. One wood blank will be provided, participants my bring their own carving and painting tools or purchase them for an additional fee. Limited space is available, more information is available on our website or by calling the Center at 717-692-3699.


Ducks and Geese of the Susquehanna

Sunday, March 11

Join Scott Bills, Retired Land Management Group Supervisor, PA Game Commission, along the banks of the Susquehanna River at the old Millersburg Gun Club Headquarters (2 miles west of the Ned Smith Center) to learn about waterfowl and their seasonal migration patterns.  Plan to stay a few minutes or hang out all day for the 20th Annual Waterfowl Watch.  In past years, we have been fortunate enough to spot majestic bald eagles fishing the chilly waters of the River. Please dress warmly.  Binoculars, field guides, spotting scopes, a warm fire and hearty refreshments will be provided.  Pre-registration suggested, but not required.  Free admission, donations accepted.


Leblanc and Kissinger

Now that Ric and Bob are “back together”, they have a new passion for the music and are thoroughly enjoying performing again as a duo. The ability to adapt a unique selection of songs to acoustic genre, their attention to detail, and remarkable harmonies make this duo an act you won’t want to miss. Stuart and Friends: Springtime Serenade
